Bridging artisans in Nepal with families across Canada through fair trade and long-term relationships.

From Kathmandu to Canada

Namaste Imports was established in 2002 to share the beauty, craftsmanship, and spirit of Nepal with Canada. For us, this is more than business: it is personal. Rooted in Kathmandu’s traditions, every product carries a story of skilled hands and Nepali hospitality.

What began as a humble effort has grown into a proudly Canadian company trusted from coast to coast. Our mission stays the same: connecting Nepali artisans with people who value authenticity and tradition. Each piece is chosen for its craft and the story it tells.

What we stand for

We choose how we source, sell, and show up. These principles guide every decision we make.

Fair trade first

We pay artisans 30–50% above typical market rates, avoid unnecessary middlemen, and build direct relationships on trust and respect.

Sustainability

Natural materials such as hemp, wool, Lokta paper, and wood take priority over synthetics. Our packaging is plastic-free where possible.

Community

We are rooted in Canada and connected to Nepal. A portion of profits supports education and community initiatives where our partners live.
